🚀 “Space Exploration” — from Earth, via postage stamps, to the Universe 🌍✨
On May 14, 1981, a Romanian made history among the stars.
Marking 45 years since cosmonaut Dumitru-Dorin Prunariu’s historic flight, Romfilatelia and the Romanian Post launched the “Space Exploration” philatelic issue in the Academy Hall. This release honors Romania’s sole “space ambassador,” the Admiral Vasile Urseanu Astronomical Observatory, and the Viking 1 mission to Mars. 🛰️🇷🇴
The issue pays tribute to the courage, science, and spirit of exploration that carry Romania beyond Earth’s boundaries.
✨ A philatelic tribute to those who turned the cosmic dream into reality.
