Bucharest, June 12th, 2023
The Faculty of Pharmacy of the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy of Bucharest hosted the centenary event in the “Vasile Lăzărescu” Hall.
In a warm, friendly and touching atmosphere, leaders of the institutions of the field from Bucharest and from the country reminisced about beautiful memories written in an arc over time, moderated by Prof. Pharmacist Doina Drăgănescu, PhD, Dean of the centenary Faculty.
The speeches were delivered by Prof. Viorel Jinga, PhD, Rector of “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Prof. Emeritus Pharmacist Dumitru Lupuleasa, PhD, President of the Romanian College of Pharmacists, Prof. Mircea Beuran, PhD, Vice-President of the Academy of Medical Sciences, Prof. Pharmacist Adriana-Elena Tăerel, PhD, President of the Romanian Society of History of Pharmacy, deans of the Faculties of Pharmacy in the country.
Romfilatelia was invited to launch, during the anniversary celebration, the postage stamps issue “Faculty of Pharmacy of the “Carol Davila” University of Medicine and Pharmacy, 100 years”.
“Through the message transmitted, by the issue of postage stamps introduced into circulation today, Romfilatelia presents itself once again as an institution of culture aimed at keeping alive in the consciousness of our people the honour that we must give to the great values of Romanian culture and science.” said in the presentation of the issue.
The officials present unveiled and signed the launch panel, an invitation to remember the historic moment of the celebrated institution.
As of today, the Romanian postage stamp has new friends, and the stamps dedicated to the Faculty of Pharmacy of Bucharest enter the national historical and philatelic heritage.
