Romfilatelia was honoured to receive today, at its headquarters, the visit of the President of the Romanian Cultural Institute, Liviu Sebastian Jicman. The discussions focused on the future philatelic projects, because “the stamp supports culture, it also includes themes and elements of history, language, geography, it speaks about the cultural identity of Romanians, affirming the national specificity and interests of our country”, said the distinguished guest.
This is why any postage stamp issue is a cultural project in itself, which enhances the national treasury through the value it carries, through information, through authenticity. It is a way of promoting culture and communicating, at a distance, in time and space, an original way of talking about us. Signing the Book of Honour at the end of fruitful discussions, the head of the Romanian Cultural Institute added: “I enjoyed a meeting with great hopes for the future and admiring the exceptional results ROMFILATELIA has achieved in promoting and preserving Romanian culture!”
Photos taken during the meeting complete this moment spent under the sign of culture and exchange of ideas.
