During the session dedicated to the World Association for the Development of Philately, the winners of the 17th edition of the competition for designated postal operators from member countries of the Universal Postal Union, organized by the World Association for the Development of Philately (WADP) from November 8th to 12th, 2022, Cape Town, South Africa, were awarded.
Mr. Masahiko Metoki, Director General of the Universal Postal Union, presented Romfilatelia, on behalf of Romania, with the Gold Medal Diploma for the exhibit “Personalities of the Universal Human Treasure”, Group C (2 panels) participating in the South Africa exhibition.
The Romfilatelia delegation had discussions and presentations of future issues of stamps with colleagues from Morocco and Tunisia for the year 2024.

We also enjoyed meeting Mr. Masahiko Metoki, Director General of the Universal Postal Union and Mr. Marjan Oswald, Deputy Director General of the UPU, to share once again the role of the stamp as a communicator and promoter of national and universal values.
