On Saturday, April 27th, the Romanian Athenaeum hosted an emotional event, the Anniversary Gala of the Bucharest Emergency Hospital – 90 years of tradition and excellence in serving the health of the community.
Romfilatelia was invited to join the anniversary by launching the dedicated philatelic product, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Beuran, President of the Academy of Medical Sciences, Mr. Alexandru Rafila, Minister of Health, Mr. Andrei Bogdan Zidaru, the current and former managers of the anniversary institution, the medical staff, all those who have served the hospital with professionalism over the years.
The anniversary philatelic product is a homage to the founders of the Hospital, mentioning here medical personalities such as Nicolae Minovici, Iacob Iacobovici, Traian Nasta, as well as all the doctors whose motto was, is and will be: “Always and to all, ready to help”.
President Klaus Iohannis decorated Floreasca Hospital with the Order of “Sanitary Merit” in the rank of Commander, the decoration being conferred at the Gala by Mrs. Loreta Păun, Presidential Advisor.
The National Bank of Romania joined the anniversary by issuing a limited edition silver coin.
Those present witnessed a grandiose event, during which trophies were awarded in recognition of the doctors’ merits and the Doctors Orchestra performed an extraordinary concert.
Romfilatelia addresses special thanks to Prof. Emeritus Dr. Mircea Beuran and the team of the Emergency Clinical Hospital for their support in the development of special anniversary philatelic products and for their closeness and friendship towards the Romanian postage stamp.
