The National Museum of Romanian Literature hosted the decoration ceremony of cultural personalities and institutions. Romfilatelia, as an institutional partner, participated in this event, during which Mr. Sergiu Nistor, Presidential Adviser, read out the decoration decrees signed by the President of Romania:

On the occasion of the World Writers’ Day: – Ms. Gabriela Adameșteanu – National Order “Star of Romania” in the rank of Commander On the occasion of the International Poetry Day: – Ms. Rusan Otilia Valeria (Ana Blandiana) – National Order “Star of Romania” in the rank of Knight – Mr. Ion Dincă – “Cultural Merit” Order in the rank of Knight On the occasion of World Writers’ Day: – Mr. Dan Teodor Cristea – National Order “Faithful Service” in the rank of Officer – Mr. Mihai Zamfir – National Order “For Merit” in the rank of Grand Cross – Mr. Eugen Negrici – National Order “For Merit” in the rank of Commander – Mr. Ion Pop – National Order “For Merit” in the rank of Commander
The awarding of the insignia was carried out by the Minister of Culture, Ms. Raluca Turcan, who also addressed a word of congratulations to the decorated persons. In turn, Mr. Ioan Cristescu, Manager of the National Museum of Romanian Literature, addressed a word of thanks.
The National Museum of Romanian Literature houses an authentic literary treasure trove of manuscripts, books, personal objects, artistic works, photographs, audio and video recordings that convey the depth and complexity of the whole art of the word in Romanian literature. Through these, the National Museum of Romanian Literature is also a true guardian of the Romanian language, the strength of our nation’s identity.

Romfilatelia, the only company authorized by the Romanian Government to issue Romanian postage stamps, will continue its mission of promoting national values, through the postage stamp, as a state symbol.
