Bucharest, November 10th, 2024
The unveiling ceremony of the public monument, created by Alexandru Siminic in memory of actor Vladimir Găitan, took place at the headquarters of the Comedy Theatre in Bucharest.
The monument completes the series of twelve public monuments within the “Comedy Alley” project, dedicated to the beloved actors Radu Beligan, Marin Moraru, Gheorghe Dinică, Amza Pellea, Iurie Darie, Dem Rădulescu, Stela Popescu, Ion Lucian, Ștefan Tapalagă, Vasilica Tastaman, Cornel Vulpe, and Silviu Stănculescu.
In an emotional atmosphere, alongside family, colleagues, and friends, tributes were paid by director Vlad Massaci, the Manager of the Comedy Theatre, actress Gloria Găitan (his daughter), actor George Mihăiță, and Mircea Mureșanu, a representative of the Monuments and Tourist Heritage Administration.
As a mark of appreciation for his entire career, Romfilatelia dedicated a commemorative philatelic cover, which was given to those present.
