On May 18th, 2023, in the Marble Hall of the National Military Circle at the National Military Circle, Romfilatelia participated in the festivities held on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the founding, in 1898, of “Gândirea Militară Românească” magazine, dedicating an anniversary philatelic panel to the event.
At the opening of the event, the Chief of the Defence Staff, Lieutenant General Corneliu Postu, and HRH Prince Radu took the floor. The message of the Minister of National Defence was also presented by State Secretary Eduard Bachide, the message of the Prime Minister of Romania by State Counsellor Iulian Chifu and the message of the Chief of Defence Staff by Lieutenant General Corneliu Postu. Afterwards, speeches were delivered by a number of personalities from the military life who have been, over the years, linked to the work of the magazine.
At the end of the speeches, the anniversary philatelic product was launched by State Secretary Eduard Bachide and Lieutenant General Corneliu Postu, as an invitation to remember the emblematic magazine of the Romanian Army.
The event was attended by representatives of the magazine’s editorial staff, soldiers of “Mihai Viteazul” 30th Guards Brigade and members of the “Military Tradition” Association.
The postage stamp, as a state symbol alongside the anthem, flag and currency and as an attribute of sovereignty, will continue its mission of promoting national values and honouring the memory of the nation and the Romanian Army.
