On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Francophonie, Romfilatelia joined the University Politehnica of Bucharest to launch a special philatelic product dedicated to the House of Francophonie in Romania.
Faithful to its mission, Romfilatelia stands by the state institutions that celebrate universal values, the most precious assets of human society. In a warm, friendly atmosphere, the audience was greeted by the Rector of the University, Prof. Mihnea Costoiu, PhD, host of the event, who pointed out that “the University of Bucharest has always been a meeting place for the French-speaking community in the region and the world “.
Speeches were delivered by Mr. Sergiu Nistor, Presidential Adviser, Mr. Lucian Romașcanu, Minister of Culture, Mr. Chakib Benmoussa, Minister of National Preschool Education and Sports of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Bogdan Cristescu, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Education, Mr. Sorin Mihai Câmpeanu, representative of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie, Mr. Traian Hristea, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Slim Khalbous, Rector of the University Agency of the Francophonie, Mrs. Cristina Popescu, CEO Romfilatelia and a true ambassador of our country in the promotion of Romanian postage stamps.
A select presence, including ambassadors, rectors, members of the OIF, representatives of the media agreed that the space in which the House of Francophonie will operate will be “an indication of the potential we can have together”.
By participating in this anniversary event, the Romanian postage stamp highlights the value and diversity of Romania’s contribution to the Francophonie, supporting the actions undertaken to promote the Francophonie and its values, with the promise to continue its mission as a vector of public diplomacy and cultural ambassador.
