100 years since the birth of Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan)

Johnny Weissmüller (Tarzan) was born on June 2nd, 1904, in Freidorf, nearby Timisoara. He was an Olympic swimming champion, won five gold medals and set 67 world records. The athlete attended the Olympic Games held in Paris, in 1924 and in 1928 in Amsterdam. Issue date: 2004-06-02
