The bust of philologist and academician Ioan C. Bianu, the work of sculptor Cătălin Dragoș Munteanu, was unveiled at the Romanian Academy. On this occasion Romfilatelia presented an anniversary postal stationery dedicated to a personality whose activity was involved in the formation and organization of a national library, property of the Romanian Academy, with a special documentary value. As director of this library for 51 years, he formed one of the richest and most representative libraries in Eastern Europe.
Together with the highest cultural institution of the country, Romfilatelia remains a visible and active presence in promoting the great national values through a universal messenger that manifests itself instructively as a true mini encyclopedia of culture: the Romanian postage stamp!
