Continuous supporter of projects and initiatives to promote events and spiritual values of the ancestral faith through the production of dedicated postage stamp issues, Romfilatelia received at its headquarters the visit of His Eminence Teodosie, Archbishop of Tomis.
During the meeting, a retrospective of philatelic issues with religious themes was made, mentioning issues, such as: “The Nativity of the Lord”, “Holy Easter”, ” Curtea de Argeș Monastery Church, 500 years”, “Homage Year of Saint Emperors Constantine and Helen”, “Antim Monastery, 300 Years since the Beginning of the Construction”, “The Church of the Three Holy Hierarchs Monastery in Iași – 375 years”, “Solemn Year of the Parish and Monastery Mission Today”, “300 Years since the Martyrdom of the Saints Brâncoveanu”.
His Eminence appreciated the Romanian postage stamps, the experience and the involvement of Romfilatelia in the projects of the Romanian Orthodox Church, and the steps related to a project dedicated to Romanian Orthodoxy will be started.
At the same time, he has kindly added a few words to the society’s book of honour:
„It was with great joy that I visited Romfilatelia, where I found an exceptional mission of highlighting the personalities who have marked the history of OUR COUNTRY and the Romanian Orthodox Church. I join this project and sincerely congratulate the management and all those who labour here.
Blessings and best wishes for success and continuity to the Manager Cristina Popescu and all the collaborators.
His Eminence Teodosie, Archbishop of Tomis”
