On the occasion of the anniversary event “The High Court of Cassation and Justice – 160 years of cooperation between the legal professions”, Romfilatelia launched today, May 30th, 2022, the issue of postage stamps dedicated to the prestigious celebrated institution.
Within the framework of the anniversary session, speeches were given by representatives of the courts and judicial authorities, together with the management of the institution, Judge Corina-Alina Corbu, Prof. Valer Dorneanu, Ph.D, President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Marian Cătălin Predoiu, Minister of Justice, Mrs. Gabriela Scutea, Prosecutor General of the Prosecutor’s Office of the High Court of Cassation and Justice, Lawyer Traian Briciu, Ph.D, President of the National Association of Romanian Bars, Mr. Dumitru Viorel Mănescu, President of the National Association of Notaries Public of Romania and Prof. Ioan Chelaru, President of the Romanian Jurists’ Union.
In a celebratory atmosphere, the philatelic panel, testimony of this anniversary, was signed by the heads of legal institutions in Romania, and the anniversary moment continued with the stamping of the first day cover, attesting the introduction into circulation of the postage stamps issue.
Romfilatelia has also demonstrated on this occasion its role as a consistent promoter of Romanian cultural and institutional values, managing to impose itself at the heart of national spirituality by reviving our historical traditions, by honouring great intellectuals, outstanding institutions, fragments of life from the past and today.
