HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAVEL ŞUŞARĂ!

Bucharest, January 12th, 2023

A heartfelt and dear meeting last night at the Romanian Peasant Museum, where Pavel Șușară was celebrated at the age of full maturity. To him, a friend of the Romanian postage stamp and member of the National Philatelic Commission, Romfilatelia dedicated an occasional anniversary philatelic product accompanied by the wish: “From the heart, Happy Birthday, Pavel Șușară!”

A prose writer, a poet, a brilliant art critic, he knows like no one else the artistic phenomenon that he serves with full faith; brilliant, he is a form of manifestation of erudition, with a special gift for speaking, for telling stories, thus claiming to be a brilliant apprentice of Creangă, as stated by Ioan Cristescu, director of the National Museum of Romanian Literature.

Horațiu Mălăele, himself an institution, came to wish him a happy birthday and pointed out that Pavel Șușară’s ubiquity creates panic, as you never know if you will meet the artist, the critic, the poet or the storyteller. “Someday I’ll fly a kite / Letter to God…”, the actor concluded, reciting from his own work, as well as that of the one being honoured.

In tune with the museum atmosphere: “From Muntenia to Bănia / All of Romfilatelia / Wish you health, / Good luck and success in everything. // From us and from the fans, / From the heart: Happy Birthday!”
